I mean, of course I’d understood there are various professions that deal with death, but I hadn’t realized that each is just one role within a larger professional realm. Thanks for sharing this, I learned quite a bit.

And yes, there is an entire system with various public and private sectors involved in death care, making it more complex than we might think. And, if you add in someone wanting something different than the traditional funeral arrangement, there are other things to consider, too.
